I got to tell you, I have been working harder this past month than I have worked in years. Not that I am working harder, I am working more consistently and with longer hours. Typically I would take a day off here and there, work just a few hours one day and then a bunch the next, but this past month I have worked 26 out of 31 days and averages 7.5 hours per day. I am tired, and I have a few more weeks of this push before I can relax some and maybe enjoy the summer a little bit. It always seems that when I am at my busiest is when more things show up on my plate and this time is like always. I have met some great contacts that I think will really help me ramp up my business to the next level- but I can’t do any ramping till I get caught up on what I need to be doing just to stay level. Just a few more weeks of pushing myself and I think I can be where I want to be.
Sunday and Monday I was at Mayfair.
Tuesday I had a dentist appointment. I went shopping and bought some things I needed for a swap I am participating in and then stopped at Whole Foods for some gluten-free items that I really can’t get anywhere else. I ran errands like going to the bank and such and I took pictures of Herman’s pieces that I had so I could start a cool spreadsheet for his inventory.
Wednesday In the morning I made soap and at night I went to a dinner with a new business contact. She is a PR/.marketing person who specializes in small businesses and getting small businesses together to network and help each other out. Everyone at dinner was fin to meet. I met a cool lady who is going to help me learn how to make gift baskets better since she owns a floral shop/gift basket co. I think it would be fun to do this every few months. The whole thing makes me feel so grown up to be at. And it is tiring, so many people asking you questions and expecting good answers. Lots of pressure.
Thursday I was going to go to B’s for our goal buddy meeting but she wasn’t feeling well. Instead I stayed home and made lots of soap.
Friday I spent the day with H, we traveled down near Philly to see a design center that wants to sell his turned bowls as accessories. Very cool place and a nice guy to work with owns it. It was a fun thing to see and learn about and I and enjoying helping H sell his pieces.
Saturday & Sunday was the Chester NJ Spring Craft Show
